Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing and using PocketPal ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

PocketPal is a community platform that helps PTCGP trainers discover and connect with each other by sharing Trainer IDs.

3. USER ACCOUNTS AND ELIGIBILITY

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You agree to provide accurate information, including a valid PTCGP Trainer ID
• You accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. USER CONDUCT AND CONTENT

You agree NOT to:

• Post invalid or fraudulent Trainer IDs
• Abuse the posting system
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to manipulate or exploit the Service
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Engage in coordinated manipulation or spam
• Violate third-party applications' terms of service

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:

• Do not spam or post invalid Trainer IDs
• Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Users must act independently when interacting with other applications
• Do not use PocketPal to coordinate activities that violate other apps' terms
• Respect other community members and their content

5. TRAINER ID SHARING

• You understand that your PTCGP Trainer ID will be visible to other users
• You consent to other users using your Trainer ID to find and interact with your public PTCGP content
• PocketPal is not responsible for in-game interactions between users
• Ensure your Binder/Display Board is set to PUBLIC in PTCGP

6. THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION COMPLIANCE

USER RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY TERMS:

• When interacting with other games or services (including PTCGP), you are solely responsible for complying with their Terms of Service
• PocketPal does not control, endorse, or direct any specific actions within third-party applications
• All interactions within PTCGP or other games are subject to those applications' rules and policies
• Users must independently decide whether and how to interact with content discovered through PocketPal
• You acknowledge that violating another application's terms may result in consequences in that application
• PocketPal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party games or services

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

• PocketPal and its content are protected by copyright and trademark laws
• Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a trademark of The Pokémon Company
• PocketPal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo

8. RATE LIMITING AND POSTING RESTRICTIONS

• Daily posting limits are enforced to maintain service quality
• Posts expire after 24 hours and are automatically removed
• We reserve the right to adjust rate limits at any time
• Attempts to bypass rate limits may result in account suspension

9. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Remove content that violates community guidelines
• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Accuracy of user-submitted information
• Compatibility with PTCGP or other services
• That using the Service will result in specific in-game outcomes

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• PocketPal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD
• We are not responsible for actions taken by other users or within PTCGP
• We are not responsible for any account actions taken by The Pokémon Company or PTCGP

12. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PocketPal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

13. DATA AND PRIVACY

• Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app Settings
• Account deletion removes all personal data, posts, and rate limits

14. CHANGES TO TERMS

• We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time
• Material changes will be communicated via the app
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
• Last updated date is shown at the top

15. GOVERNING LAW

These terms shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand. For users outside New Zealand, you agree that any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts, while we respect local consumer protection laws where applicable.
